Taksim Square is a hybrid of documentary and fiction that follows a Turkish immigrant living in Chicago. He is forced to go through his normal day as a janitor while longing to be with his daughter, as she participates in the riots and protests against the Turkish government in Istanbul. It captures an immigrants experience of detachment from their family and having to be away from home when their family and people need them most.
