Asaf Schwartz is an Israeli-born filmmaker based in Tel Aviv. Asaf started making films since high school, when he studied at the Alliance Film Department, directed his thesis film, Shelter (2009). After serving for three years in the Israeli Air Force Film Unit as a director & video editor, Asaf proceeded to study at The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television in Tel-Aviv university, where he has focused on directing and editing for fiction film and documentary. His B.A middle film, Dependency Test (2016), won the audience award at the Tel Aviv Long Short Film Festival in 2016, and went on to participate at the Hyperion Film Festival in Bucharest (2016). Asaf has recently directed his second film, Omar (2016), which was made as part of his B.A, nowadays being considered for majors festivals. in addition, he works as an offline editor for commercials and promos.
